Jesus Said is a devotion that I write that gives guidance, direction, encouragement, and inspiration through difficult situations through Scriptures spoken by Jesus himself. I try to write a message once or twice a week.

Feed On Me, 03.24.08
"And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (Matthew 26:26-28).
As much as we Christian's love Jesus we can not help ourselves at times to lose our focus on Him. Life takes a turn and all of a sudden we are lost and confused and hungry for some sort of resolution. We starve for a glimpse of hope in that everything will be taken care of.
Of course, that resolution is Jesus and although He does not promise that we will not face struggles, He does promise that He is always with us to lead us into victory over them. The second we accept Jesus into our hearts He sends the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, that is why we suddenly feel at peace. The Holy Spirit never leaves us, but it is up to us to keep the fire burning. It is when that fire begins to smolder that we lose our focus and then Satan begins to get us back into our old way of thinking.
Which is why as we observed the wonderful resurrection of our Lord Jesus yesterday I could not help, but also be excited to know that it was a day of recognition. This was the day that the Lord showed me that all of the past was behind me and was crucified with Jesus on the cross and a new life begins.
All that sadness and depression over things that I can not control were meaningless and only feeding Satan's ego. I was sinning against myself in that I was afraid that the past would repeat itself. I was not letting the past die which kept Jesus from accepting my plea for forgiveness. It was time to let go and let God take control of the situation.
Jesus truly is the bread of life and as long as we feed on Him we are never hungry or thirsty. That is why it is so important to seek Him daily, especially when we do not feel like it. That is a guarantee that Satan sees our struggle and will use it against us. Feeding on Jesus enables us to fight back. I will let you in on a little secret, when I feel that Satan is attacking me I will start screaming at him to get away from me and start singing to Jesus. You know I get the craziest looks...lol, but I also find peace and hope that I will see victory and that is a wonderful feeling. Satan might try and control my thoughts, but he can not control the Holy Spirit that dwells in me and that is what turns those negative thoughts to postive ones.
You too can have victory over the past, Jesus will help you through it, all you have to do is call on Him.
Have a blessed day,
Christina

I Will Not Leave You 03.07.08
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." (John 14:12-18)
What an amazing God that we have, no matter what we are facing, even though we feel so alone He is right there with us helping us through it. We have nothing to fear yet at times it seems that is all we do. I think when we are faced with difficulties it is so easy to just play along as nothing is wrong, but each day that goes by we get weaker and weaker and more vulnerable to the temptations of the world only to fall right into Satan's trap.
As I sit here for the first time in weeks and have nothing to do I am left wondering, "God, am I following Your will for my life or mine?" That is not an easy question to answer as there are so many thoughts that go through our heads. So, how do we know when we are following God's will and not our own? We seek Him for answers, we move forward in faith and if something in the back of our heads is telling us to not go there, it is God telling us that we are not to go there.
I will tell you that the past month has been very stressful to me, I have been living in fear and it seems that Satan has grabbed a hold of me and will stop at nothing to get me to give up my faith and fall away from God. I will honestly tell you that I was being investigated, I have been self employed for 5 years and doing work that I really enjoyed. I am an Aromatherapist and Relaxation Therapist. I had a client that was not very professional and tried to get me to do some things that I just would not do. He got angry and a week later I had an investigator at my door. All that hard work to become successful only to lose everything because of one man who for some reason thought that I was supposed to submit to his ungodly demands.Life is crazy that way, we can be on top of the mountain and all of a sudden we make one wrong move and go tumbling.
As I was writing in my prayer book this morning I asked God to release me from this fear, let me know His will for my life and let me know that what I vision in life is His will and not mine. Well, just before I began typing this message I got a knock at the door. It was the investigator, I was cleared of all the charges against me and free to continue my work as long as I have the proper licenses and permits of course. So, just maybe my visions are God's will after all and He is just making sure I am prepared to handle every situation that I would be faced with. So, as I move forward, in my faith I am finally at peace knowing that Jesus is right here with me, comforting me and leading me in the right direction.
He will do the same for you as well, He loves you and will answer every prayer and provide you with everything you need. Of course it is answered on His time, but never stop believing, never give up because when you are ready to accept the prayer being answered it will be.
God bless,
Christina

You Are Blessed 02.28.08
"And he (Jesus) opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake." (Matthew 5:2-11).
What does it mean to be blessed?
According to the Encarta dictionary the word blessed means to be sacred, sanctified, and set apart, it also means to be lucky, fortunate, and happy. This means that God has set us apart from the world and that we are fortunate in that no matter what we are going through He is with us and will get us through it.
What peace of mind and comfort there is to know that no matter what we are going through God is right there with us and that we are blessed. We really can not control what happens in the world, but we can control how we let them invade us. We can choose not to participate. We can choose who we hang around. We can choose what things we watch and what we read. We can choose to live for God and let Him get us through the good, bad, and ugly times in our lives. We can choose to believe that we are blessed and that God will protect us, take care of us, and provide us with everything we need.
I will tell you that I have been sitting here for an hour reading through the book of Matthew and trying to get something to catch my thoughts on what to write about. My mind was so focused on other things that I failed to comprehend what I was reading. Then it just hit me, worrying over matters that I can not control is not going to get me anywhere, but in trouble as Satan is just waiting to catch me off guard, he already sent the Jehovah's Witnesses to my door as I was reading.
Then I went back to the beginning of the book and there it was, everything that I was feeling and going through was contained in these ten verses.
These last few weeks have been so frustrating and each one that passed I felt my spirit get weaker and weaker. It was not until this moment that I realized that I am blessed. God loves me and He will provide me with all of my needs and will never forsake me. I am not only blessed to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven I will one day get to meet Jesus face to face as one of His disciples. Through God's mercy and grace I am going to get through these struggles. Through my faith in Jesus I am going to see things turn around for me and He is going to bless me with even better things than I imagined.
Remember, you are blessed and you have those words straight from Jesus. No matter what struggles you are facing put your head up high, be happy and fortunate as You are sacred to God and mean the world to Him.

I Am The Bread of Life 02.20.08
"Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." (John 6:28-35).
Our bodies are more than just a physical being, we are created with a mind, a body, and a spirit. Each one of these elements complete and balance us and when one of these are out of balance we feel lost and hopeless. Just as we need food to nourish our bodies, we also need mental food for our minds and spiritual food for our spirits.
Our spirit however, is the inner most part of our being and if our spirit is malnourished our entire body becomes weak and vulnerable to making less accurate decisions, falling into temptations, and losing the confidence we have in God as well as ourselves. Jesus is the bread of life that nourishes us and keeps us from hungering and thirsting for something to make us feel alive. Without Him we will always be hungry and looking for something to feed on.
I can account for the times when my spirit has been weak, I could care less what I was doing, always making wrong decisions and paying for them. When I am depressed I am always looking for something to make me feel happy and often it is the wrong thing and it never keeps me satisfied. When I am worried I always forget about everyone and everything and live as if I am in a daze. When I am angry I get jealous and envious over other and stop at nothing to get those things myself.
However, Jesus never gives up on me, when He sees me falling away from Him and searching for nourishment in other ways He pulls and pulls until I realize that He is what I needed. I quickly repented and fed on HIs Word, I not only grew stronger, I overcame my struggles and was blessed even more. I finally understand what it means to be hungry for God, when He is not with me I become lost, agitated, and feel as if I am broken hearted. Nothing in life goes right and I am always on edge. Thankfully God never gives up on me when I make mistakes and start getting that way again.
Just as He does not give up on me He will not give up on You. If you are feeling lost, alone, searching for something to fill that void, your spirit is hungry and needs to be nourished. Go to Jesus, talk to Him, sing to Him, read His Word, as you begin to focus on Him you become at peace and know that you are not alone and that Jesus is right there with you and will take care of all your needs.
Jesus is the bread of life that becomes the spiritual food we need to nourish our spirits, which then gives us the mental nourishment we need for our minds, which then enables us to make the right decisions to nourish our bodies.

You Have Everlasting Life 02.06.08
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18 KJV)
As we begin the season of lent God spoke to my heart about writing a message relating to Ash Wednesday. Many people mistake the reason for this special time of year. Many will follow religious traditions such as anointing their foreheads by a priest or minister with ashes, they will mourn and spend the day in sorrow in hopes to insure their salvation. Indeed the ashes represent our bodies which turn to ash when we perish. However, although our bodies may turn to ash, it is no reason to mourn as our spirits live on and join Jesus in heaven.
There is only one way to insure Salvation and that is by accepting Jesus into your heart. "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:22-23).
Once you accept Jesus into your heart nothing can take away your Salvation. No matter how bad you have been you are not saved by your works, but by your faith. "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." (Galatians 2:16). Now, with that said God still wants you to do good things, it is by following His Will that you will receive your rewards in heaven. In fact, once you accept Jesus into your heart the Holy Spirit grabs hold of you and transforms you day by day and you will find yourself eager to do God's will.
Jesus said, Whoever believes in Him (Me) shall not perish, but have everlasting life, that means eternal and forever. So, rest assure once you accept Jesus into your heart you have eternal life and do not have to keep questioning yourself. Instead of using this time to question your salvation use it as a time to ask for forgiveness of your sins from the past year and become to closer to God by cleansing yourself in His Word.

I Will Break The Bands 01.30.08
"And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked." (Luke 8: 27-33).
It seems that no matter how much faith we have in our Lord there are times when we fall into the clutches of the devil. We can be high on the moutain top, gleaming as we are blessed abunantly and in a matter of seconds we fall and that assurance knowing that God will provide for and protect us gets toppled by negative emotions and insecurities. All it takes is the mere blink of an eye and the devil catches us and tries to bound us with his chains and fetters (shackles), making us lose sight of the Lord.
This happened to me this past weekend, I was having a wonderful week walking with the Lord, He blessed me with extra clients and provided me with things I needed. Then just like that my faith turned to fear and for two days I was abound with worry and confusion. I lost a lot of sleep, had horrible dreams, made myself sick, and had no ambition to do anything.
However, Jesus knew my pain and He knew my faith in Him was just clouded by the devil's thoughts controlling my mind. He drew me close to Him and when I realized that He was still with me. I cried out to Him and He broke the bands and freed me from those chains and shackles.
Life can be so cruel and unbareable at times, I will not even try to understand why things happen or why people do what they do, but I do understand that we have a great and mighty God that will help us through every situation and will break those chains that bind us.
Are you ready to break free from the chains and shackles that the devil caught you with?
Whether it is past or present chains holding you down you can break free. Go to Jesus, cry out to Him and He will break the bands that keep you from the bondage that the devil uses to hold you down.

It's Time to Forgive (01.23.08)
"Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." (Luke 6:36-38 KJV)
Some days it is not easy being a Christian. No matter what you try to do to remain positive and stay away from people and things that tempt and trouble you it does not happen, it is as if they find you. Then all of a sudden that positive outlook turns to anger, hurt, and want. The devil now has us under his control and we begin to criticize others and gossip about them, we lose sight of God and are tempted to make them feel as bad as we are feeling. Sometimes we even resort to doing ungodly things to make our flesh feel better.
However, God is a forgiving God and will always forgive us of all of our sins as long as we are sincere in our asking and work on trying to overcome those continous sins. Trust me, I just had one of those days last Sunday, I was so upset by a comment that someone made to me that I became angry and began taking my anger on those around me. On top of that I got depressed and wanted to fall into temptation, I was even looking for it. However, I went to church and put my focus on God and overcame my emotions.
Jesus has given us some commandments to follow in regards to people who cause strife in our lives. To judge not, meaning not to form an opinion of someone, to condemn not, meaning not to declare someone unchangeable, and to forgive them. Now, I understand that it is truly hard to forgive some people, but unless we make that first move we will never overcome our struggles. Anger, hurt, and bitterness can cause so many things to happen. Immorality, substance abuse, and violence are only a few actions that become habits if we do not forgive those who have hurt us.
We all have faults and those who continue to live in sin are scared and sometimes just plain stubborn, they do not want to give up their wordly lives for fear that they will be alone or lose their popularity. When we are faced with difficult people we are to learn from them and stand firm in our faith in God. Only God can give us the peace of mind we need to overcome all these emotions that cause us to fall into ungodly habits.
Now, I know at times you will see people and think, "Oh, my God!" and wonder why they continue to do what they do. That is different than judging and condemning someone, judging and condemning someone is being hateful toward them and seeing them as less than you. We have no ideal what people are going through or why they behave the way they do, often they are hurting and lost, and are in great need of Jesus. We have been there, maybe not as severe, but we have been judged and condemned when others have seen or heard about something that they made their own conclusion of.
We can not do much about them, but the best thing we can do is pray for them and try to guide them toward God. If they hate you and cause you pain God will take care of you. He will never let anyone that hurt you get away with it. Remebmer, whatever is given by you is received whether it is good or bad. So, those who hurt you will receive the same, you may not see it yourself, but it will happen.
Trust in the Lord, it is time to forgive those who have hurt you, it is time to forgive yourself. Turn your pain into comfort as you release the control of those negative emotions.
God Bless and peace be with you.

I Know What You Worship 01.18.08
"Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he." (John 4:21-26)
The word worship means love and devotion given to deity (God), an idol, or a sacred object. There are so many different religions and churches that it is no wonder people want to stay as far away as possible from them. The truth is that anyone can set up a church or follow a paticualr religion, but many will get caught up in the world and instead of worshipping the Father, they worship false gods, the gods of money, fame, possessions, and lust.
I grew up in a Catholic church and even though I never understood everything that was said I tried to follow their teachings. I grew away from the church as a result of disbelief as I felt nothing I ever did was right in the sight of the Lord nor would I be able to receive His forgiveness if I did not give all my money to the church.
Now, I know I am not sinless and I learned that in order to recieve blessings from God I needed to be willing to give than to receive, but am I that evil that God could never forgive me and accept me a child who wants to live for Him. Well, years passed and God spoke to me about going back to church, this time I chose a non-demoninational church. In the beginning it was a small family oriented church and it was great, but it began growing and eventually a new church was built to hold the people. Once the church grew other priorities took place and instead of a church we had a stadium.
Now I am not knocking other religions or churches, but I am going to say that no matter what church or religion we follow unless we know the truth we are wasting our time. The truth is that Jesus came to this earth to teach us how God wanted us to be, He became the pure lamb of sacrifice, shed His blood and died for our sins, then He arose three days later to give us eternal life. No religion, church, or person can change that and certainly no amount of fame or money can buy it's way to eternal life.
All those who are true children of God know this and will not worship these material things. Even King Solomon acknowleged to the world that without God all is vanity thousands of years before Jesus preached this. Jesus tells us that God is a Spirit and to worship Him we are to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. This means that by accepting Jesus His Holy Spirit dwells in you and shows you the truth. Therefore, we are to worship Him and only Him in spirit (inner being) and in truth that we believe in the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Be Not Afraid 01.15.08
"And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God." (Matthew 14:26-33).
Peter knew that he was safe when his eyes were focused on Jesus, but the second he looked down and turned his focus on what was around him he became afraid and began sinking in the water. However, when he realized he was afraid he called on Jesus and He was right there to catch him from the fall.
Whether we are Christian's or not we all are going to face situations or people that will cause fear in our lives. Often fear can become so great that we lose focus on everything around us and become victim to it. Even people that are strong in their faith let fear control them one time or another. However, Christian's have one thing going for them, we have our Great and Mighty Jesus Christ to bring us to victory over what controls us.
I will tell you that I grew up in a rather rough part of town and I learned really quick that if I showed any type of fear that I would be the next victim. However, if I went about my day confident that I was safe, alert, and did not focus on what was around me I was a victor.
Was I always a victor?
No, I have fallen victim to fear. My fear was triggered by falling away from God in order to get a taste of the world. I became a victim of fear over a person, I met a guy who I thought was great and as soon as he knew he got me to trust him he introduced me to his crazy lifestyle. Out of fear that he would leave me I continued to do the things that he wanted me to do even though I knew it was wrong. Then he got arrested and right there God was telling me that He freed me from that bondage, but did I listen, no. I stayed in that bondage for three more years trying to free him and giving up everything I had in order to do so only to sink and fall.
Why did I live in fear for so long?
Because I was afraid of being alone, this man took every bit of confidence that I had and deminished it. I was so afraid to be alone that I was a victim to that fear for five years. I imagine that five years is nothing compared to some people who have been living in fear for years or even decades, God bless you.
How did I become a victor?
I began going to church, I asked God to forgive me and I accepted Jesus into my life once again. The truth is that Jesus was always with me, He was not happy with me, but He was there waiting to catch me from my fall. He let me sink until I realized that I needed Him to catch me. Once I did He caught me and He turned my life around. Of course there are struggles of fear every now and then, but now Jesus yells, "Where is your faith, girl! Be not afraid, you will not fall for I will catch you!"
If you are falling, call on Jesus, no matter what you are going through or what you have done He is right there to catch you. Put your faith in Him and Be Not Afraid, He will turn things around for you.

I Have Chosen You 01.11.08
"Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me." (John 15:15-21, KJV)
Do you remember the day you accepted Jesus into your heart?
You felt great, scared, nervous and probably every other emotion known all at once, however there was a peace about you as if a big weight had been lifted off of your back. No matter what you were facing you knew that everything was going to be alright because you now had Jesus right there with you to get you through it.
As you grew closer to Him you began to fall away from friends and even family that were not so understanding about your new found outlook on life and friend that you replaced them with. They criticized you, called you names, made up stories about you, stopped talking to you, and some were down right hateful toward you, especially toward anything you had to say about believing in Jesus.
Sound familar to you?
The world will never understand the relationship between a true Christian and Jesus. They will persecute you until the end, mainly because they are lost and fear what lies ahead of them. You will never find a person that believes in Jesus fearing death because we know what lies ahead of us. We are the chosen ones, the true and faithful that will rise above all that the world throws at us.
Yes, Jesus has chosen you! You just did not wake up one morning and say "I think I will accept Jesus today". Jesus was right there guiding you and working on you and when He knew you were ready and willing to accept the responsibility He revealed Himself to you. Whether He lead someone to you or told you Himself, He let you know that you are not a servant, you are His friend and He has ordained and chosen you to go forth and bare much fruit. This means to grow in Him and flourish as learn more and tell others about Him.
So, you keep letting them call you a Jesus freak, and letting them tell you that are brain wahsed and do not know what you are talking about. The more they do it the more you know you are closer to Jesus and do not be offended by what they say or do. They have no clue what they are doing and are just trying to hurt you and bring you down to their level. Simply say God bless you and thank you.
God Bless,
Christina

I Will Set You Free (01.09.08)
Being captive to sin is not easy and very hard on your body physically, mentally, and spiritually. You may not realize that you are even held captive to sin, so I am going to explain to you what it means to be a servant of sin.
A sin is described as something regarded as being shameful, regretable, or utterly wrong, but a sin is much more than that. A sin is being a servant to people, things, and actions that hurt others and most of all ourselves. The obvious sins known are deceitfulness, drug habits, achohol addictions, or endulging sexual impurities. However, sin goes beyond what is seen, eating disorders, depression, bitterness, anger, hate, compulsive disorders, pride, all these things are sin. Anything that takes control over your life you become a servant of and are captive of it.
The great thing is that Jesus has given us a way to break free from that captivity. He took all of our sins with Him on the cross when He died. Yes, I have been there so I am a witness to being held capitve to my sins. Depression, ungodly people, and an eating disorder held me capitve for quite some time. I was so sad, unhealthy, and really do not know where three years of my life went. Thankfully Jesus picked me up and freed me from that captivity. I am alive, healthier, and happier because my Saviour Jesus Christ died for my sins and freed me from being a servant to these and many other sins.
Yes, you can be free as well, you no longer need to be a servant of any sin that controls your life. Trust in Jesus, tell Him how you feel and what you are going through. Put your faith in Him and He will Set You Free.

Jesus Said: Lose Your Life to Save It (01.08.08)
Jesus does not actually want you to lose your life literally, He loves you and wants you around for eternity. What He means by this is that He wants you to lose the worldly life that you have been living in order to save your soul. Put Him first above all things, do what you can to live the way God intended you to live, stay away from people and things that cause you to become shameful mostly of yourself, and remember to forgive yourself. When you lose yourself to the world you gain a lot more than just material things.
I know the world is full of great and marvelous things, but that is all they are, just things. If you were to leave this earth right now none of these things are coming with you, except maybe your aching spirit that will feel nothing, but pain. And I tell you what in all my experience of seeing people pass all it causes is strife and anger between loved ones as they all fight to take control of those great things that are left behind. Now, am I saying that you should not have great things? No, I am not.
Jesus said, whatever you ask I will give to you, however He will not give you anything that is going to take place over Him nor cause harm to yourself or others.
Yes, I have lived for the world and at one time I had everything and could get anything that I wanted. Was I happy? Oh, yes, I was happy, until I got what I wanted, or realized what I had done to get it. I was always craving something else to fill the void. The more I did to get what I wanted the more shameful I became of myself and the worse my reputation got by those around me. To this day I still get requests that make me cringe because of my past.
However, Jesus loved me so much that He never gave up on me. He worked and worked on me until I realized that He was what I was missing in my life. I was held captive by the great and mavelous things of the world until my Saviour rescued me. He made me lose many things in the process, but the best thing of all was that I lost myself and became saved from all that destruction. Now, that I have Jesus in my life I am happy and get everything I need and desire as long as it is does not take me away from Him.
Are you struggling right now?
Jesus loves you too and is right there with You, all you have to do is tell Him that you want Him in your life. Trust me, He will turn things around for you.
=====================================================================================================
Have you asked Jesus to come into your heart yet are unsure of what that means or have doubts that you are saved? If you truly believe that Jesus is the Son of God, our Lord and Saviour and that He died to save us of our sins then you will begin to see changes in your life. We all make mistakes and it seems the second we accept Jesus into our hearts we sin even more. Getting saved does not mean that you will never sin again nor does it mean that you will be punished and unsaved if you do. Getting saved means that you get to enjoy the gift of eternal life that He has given you. When you leave this earth you will join our Lord and Saviour up in heaven no matter how good or bad you were. Now, that does not mean that God will not ground you and teach you lessons when you do not listen to Him. He is our Father, so it is expected that we get reprimanded and learn from our faults.
The above verses explain what happens when we accept Jesus into our hearts. The second you pray that prayer God rejoices and sends the Holy Ghost (Spirit) to dwell in you and some wonderful mysterious things begin to happen. You begin to draw closer to Jesus, you want to learn as much and tell everyone as much as you can about Him. Whether you realize it or not, He is right there inside you, abiding in you. People will notice and sometimes fear you because they see Him in your eyes. I will never forget the first time I noticed someone that had seen Jesus through my eyes. It was a great feeling, but a little scary as well, it was a feeling far beyond what I expected. I never understood what it meant to have Jesus dwell in me until that day.
Things take time, God does not expect you to do a complete turn around overnight. He planted the seed inside you and it grows a little each day, the more it grows the stronger your faith and trust in Him gets. The stronger your faith gets the more He is revealed through you. So, be not troubled or afraid for He is with you and You are saved for eternity.
======================================================================================================So many people fall from and are afraid to come back to God for fear that they were so bad that He will never forgive them, in a sense their soul becomes dead and lost. They go through life simply exsisting and feeling as if they will never overcome their past. However, there is no sin too big that Jesus will not forgive you for, He forgives all who truly repent and ask for forgiveness.
In the above verses Jesus is talking with the Pharisees and scribes who were complaining that He was associating Himself with sinners. Jesus explains that we are all sinners and when we sin we are dead and lost. However, once we ask for forgiveness we become alive and found and God rejoices in your return.
The man that Jesus is describing fell away from God and fell into the lusts of the world, drinking, women, you name it, he did it. He ended up losing everything he had and living on the streets. The man decided that it was better to be a servant than be on the streets so he went to his father to beg him for forgiveness. When he went to his father he was so happy to see him that he rejoiced and threw a party. He did not care what he had done, all he cared about was that his son who was lost and feared dead was now alive and found.
As we begin this new year take the time to think about your relationship with God. Have you fallen from Him and not came back for fear that you will not be forgiven? All you have to do is say, "Dear Lord, Forgive me for I have sinned, cleanse me and relieve me of my pain. Give me peace knowing that all of my past sins are now forgotten and I am free from their captivity. In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.
If you said that prayer, God has forgiven you and is now rejoicing because He has found you. Praise God!

Come Out of The Darkness (12.30.07)
"Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (John 12:42-46)
Many people are living in darkness, even those who believe in Christ. They are more focused on the world and others than on God. When we live for the world rather than God we become depressed, lost, alone, and empty inside. No matter how many people or things are in our lives we are always searching and longing for something that will shed some light on us and bring us out of that darkness.
Here Jesus is explaining to His disciples how important it is to confess Him and live for God and not the world. He tells us that when we live for the world we do not believe in God and cause ourselves to live in darkness. When we live for the world we are more focused on our needs than others, we do not repect others or ourselves, we trust no one, we are not at peace, and we can not forgive those who have hurt us, especially ourselves. No matter what we do we can not break free form the mistakes we made in the past. We dig ourselves into a tunnel of darkness and can not escape.
I can account for all of these things because I have been a witness to them. As a child I grew up knowing who Jesus was, but never really understood what that meant. Then as a teenager I began working for a youth pastor and learned how important it was to know Him. Of course I faced opposition especially from my family and instead of putting my focus on God I hid from Him. I quickly fell for the temptations that the world offered. It became like a drug to me, I would desire people and things to make me feel good about myself and forget my problems. Once I got what I wanted I was on high for a little while then quickly dug myself further into that tunnel, leaving myself dark and depressed. I was always searching for something stronger and better to make me feel that good again, often doing the unimaginable to get what I wanted. All I was doing was digging myself deeper into darkness.
Then when I was at my weakest moment God spoke to me and dragged me up out of that tunnel and for the first time in years I saw the light. I began living for God and not the world and even though I still had problems I kept my focus on Him and crawled out of the tunnel. Oh, sure I still have bad days, satan will stop at nothing to get me back to where I was, but I am stronger knowing that the Lord is with me and people see Him through me and my words as well.
Jesus brought me up into the light and He can do the same for you. He is telling you to trust Him, and believe in Him. Are you ready to come up out of the darkness?
God Bless You,
Chrisitna
12.26.07
"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you." (Matthew 10:16-20)
It is no surprise that when a person accepts Jesus into their lives that they will face opposition in some way, shape, or form, in fact the closer we get to Him the worse things seem to get. Have you ever noticed the expressions or reactions of the wolves who try to tear us apart? In reality, they know we speak the truth and see Jesus' reflection in us. They live in denial, fear, and are miserable and lost so the only way they know how to act is the way they feel.
In the above verses Jesus tells us that we are to be wise and harmless, yet cautious toward those who punish us. Yes, they will try to bring us down to their level of hate, bitterness, and strife towards one another, but no matter what oppostion we face we have a great and mighty God that can get us through it. One that will help us endure all the pain and suffering from those who are lost.
The greatest thing of all is that He is with you through it all, God will comfort you and even tell you what needs to be said and done. Have no fear for He is near. I will tell you that when I accepted Jesus into my life I faced this same opposition, I had people criticizing me and gossiping about me, even my own father believed the rumors. I was losing everything I owned, not to mention the people in my life. I just wanted to crawl in a hole and hide from life all together. Then God pulled me up out of that ditch and said "Wake Up! This is not who I made you to be!" At that moment He led me to the book of Job and the second I began reading I knew that God was speaking to me and that He was real.
Everything that I was going through related to what I was reading. I read that entire book and asked God to forgive me and them and vowed that I would not be controlled by those who hurt me. Of course some days are not easy, I still face lots of opposition, but I tell you what knowing that Jesus is always with me gives me the peace and comfort I need to endure anything that comes my way. I am blessed because I have the power and grace of our Lord leading me to great things. And yes, Jesus will do the same for you as well, all you have to do is hand all your struggles over to Him. I also reccommend that you to read Job, it will help you understand and teach you how to endure those who oppose you.
12.21.07
"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Luke 11:9-10 KJV)
Once we accept Jesus into our lives we literally become one of His disciples, I often imagine what it would have been like to be one of His very first disciples as they walked the earth with Him. To be a witness to the wonderful miracles and teaching, to be in awe or fear of what they saw at times. I am sure they had lots of questions and confusion far beyond what we read in the Gospels, just as we do today. Often those questions are about praying and receiving those prayers.
In the above verses Jesus explains to them in order to receive all they have to do is Ask, Seek, and Knock. The first step is to Ask Him, He already knows what you are in need of, He just wants you to ask Him for it. The second step is to Seek Him, He wants you to know all and enjoy learning about Him. We will never know everything there is to know about the Lord, but we can seek Him to learn as much as possible until we meet Him face to face and as you seek Him He will give you what you are in need of. The third step is to Knock, for every door that closes, a new one opens. The Lord waits for the right opportunity to answer you, If you are not getting an answer keep knocking, no matter how long it takes keep on knocking. When our focus is more on our need than on Him He will make us stand there knocking until we realize that we need to spend more time with Him.
Nearly all the prayers we have can be answered, it is just a matter of taking the time to Ask, Seek, and Knock. During all this God teaches us many things, we become wiser, humble, patient, kinder, and most of all we become stronger in our fatih towards the Lord, which is what He desires more than anything. However, some prayers are not meant to be answered at the time we ask them, but will reveal themselves when the time is right.
You are blessed far beyond what you think already, but when you put your faith and trust in the Lord and seek Him above all earthly desires you will watch your blessings pour in even greater than you imagine. God takes care of all our needs when we Ask, Seek, and Knock first.
12.19.07
"And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague." Mark 5:25-34
Of all the women in the Bible reaching out for Jesus I think this is my favorite story. This woman had been suffering for so many years and when she heard that He was near she had so much faith in Him that if she could just touch the hem of His clothing she knew she would be healed.
And the most amazing part is when Jesus knew He had been touched by her. I imagine that there were hundereds of people there touching Him, many curious, some I am sure did not believe in Him and wanted proof of His exsistance. Among all of these people, one woman's faith was so strong that the simple tug of His clothes got His attention. "Who Touched me?" he says. While his disciples said many were touching him, move on, He looked around to see who it was and there she was bowing down before him in fear. She needed not to be in fear for her faith is all He needed to heal her.
This is the type of faith I long to have with our Lord Jesus, although I believe in our Lord and will do anything for Him, I admittingly lack in that complete trust and faith over our Lord. It is that crazy flesh of mine that wants to make things happen right this second instead of giving it over to Him to take care of. I will give you an example of how great Jesus works when you put complete faith in Him.
I will honestly say that I am overweight and always struggling to lose weight, I have starved myself, exercised profoundly, cut out so many things from my diet, and tried every diet and diet pill imagined only to lose a few pounds and gain it all back and then some once I made myself sick. I was so discouraged and dissappointed in myself, I was sick and tired all the time and really at a loss on what I could do to make myself just healthy again. Well, about 6 weeks ago I decided that it was time to stop stressing out over this and trying to do it all myself. I asked God to help me, I began putting my focus on Jesus instead of losing weight. Within the first week I was feeling better and since Oct. 25, 2007 I have lost 15 pounds, about 2 pounds a week, the norm of what a person should lose in a week. And guess what? I am not starving myself, I am not exercising profoundly and I am not cutting anything out of my diet. My complete trust in Jesus helped me to start losing weight, the second I take my focus off Him I want to fall back into my old habits of taking diet pills and staving myself. Praise Jesus that He got me away from all that before it was too late.
Jesus is there for all who come to Him, He loves you so much and will take care of every struggle that you are dealing with. Put your faith in Him and see what He can do for you.
12.16.07
"Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." -John 8:1-11
No matter what you have done in your past, God forgives all of that, all you have to do is ask Him to forgive you and it is done. There is no exception, all is forgiven. So, why do so many people suffer from past mistakes? Other people.
As I have made my share of mistakes in life I have found one thing to be true, no matter how hard you try to forget and forgive someone is going to make sure that does not happen. Some people are just so happy to see others suffering that they will stop at nothing to make sure it happens. I call people like that miserable, they are so unhappy with themselves and the mistakes that they made that it makes them feel better to point out others mistakes and never let you forget them. What is worse is that they will often bring up the fact that you are a Christian and use that against you as well.
Just as we read from the above Scripture, these men, who are sinners themselves were quick to see this woman suffer and even die for her mistake. However, Jesus knew that these men were no better than she was, after all He knew every sin that they commited as well. He says, go ahead, convict her, but before you do think about what you have done, have you sinned yourselves. One by one these men left leaving the woman there alone. Then Jesus says to the woman, you are forgiven, go and sin no more.
Just as Jesus forgave this woman He will forgive you, do not let anyone tell you otherwise. If they try bring up the past you simply say God Bless you and walk away. If it gets too bad, just talk ot God, He listens and hears you and will help you get through the pain. Remember, most of these people are covering up their own past mistakes. Do not stoop to their level by pointing out their mistakes either, all you are doing is adding fuel to the fire. I know it can be hard to just walk away, but you are the better person. God will take care of you and them.
12.15.07
"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."- Matthew 6:5-13 (KJV)
Often people pray and pray, they even ask people to pray for them only to see no results. God does not do this to punish you He does this to strengthen your faith in Him as well as make sure you are prepared to handle that prayer being answered.
In the verses above Jesus is explaining to His disciples the proper way to pray. God knows exactly what we are in need of even before we ask Him, if you are praying for something that is going to cause harm to yourself or others you can rest assure that that prayer will not be answered. This is also true if you are praying for something useless over and over again. We all have needs and desires, but when they become more important to you than God He will wait until you realize that you are more focused on vanity than Him.
Another reason a prayer is not answered is because we are not truly believing that it will happen. When we pray we are to pray with faith as if that prayer is already answered. We are to go to God with confidence, talk to Him, let Him know that we need Him and keep it between you and God. Yes, you can ask someone to pray for you and it is also good to pray for others as well, but keep your prayers between you and God.
Keep doing these things and you can rest assure that those prayers will be answered. Then as you see them answered you can tell the world that God answered that prayer. Praise God.
12.14.07
"And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it."- Mark 4:30-32
When Jesus first began teaching the gospel and showing them His wonderful works people were in awe and knew that He was the Messiah, yet there were many, including some disciples that lacked in their faith. In Mark Chapter 4 Jesus explains to His disciples that there are several levels of faith, and that faith grew in all who had even the tiniest amount as long as they nurtured it with the right soil. So, how does our faith grow? It grows first by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, after all He is the only way to reach the kingdom of God, also by staying in His Word, by talking with Him and walking with Him.
A wonderful thing begins to happen as your faith grows in Jesus, you feel His presence with you and no matter what you are going through you are at peace knowing that He will get you through it. I remember the times when I did not walk with Jesus, I was so lost and depressed and simply exsited as if I were a zombie. God knew that I was hurting, He let me fall as much as I could handle and then He picked me up and showed me what I was doing wrong. Sometimes it is not easy to let the Lord guide me as this crazy flesh wants to take control of situations, however once I come to my senses and let Him know that I can not handle it on my own I am at peace once again.
The same thing will happen to you, as long as you have the tiniest bit of faith Jesus will work in your heart and that faith will keep growing and growing and growing. What a great feeling to know that Jesus is always with you and has so much faith in you that He knows you will succeed.
12.12.07
"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."- John 14:13-17
What a wonderful feeling to know that when we accept Jesus into our lives He dwells in us. No matter what we are going through He is right there, even if we are so caught up in our distress that we forget about Him for a time. He comforts us and answers all prayers, sometimes we think that a prayer will never be answered, but fear not, keep praying and it will be. Often He does not answer a prayer the way you expect it to be answered, this is because He will only answer a prayer in a way that will help you, not hurt you. Many times we are blessed beyond anything we expected simply because we put our trust and faith in Him.
Jesus loves you and wants the best for you, at times He will throw distress in our lives in order for us to acknowledge Him, He is not punishing you or ignoring you. He knows you are hurting, He just wants you to let Him know that you need Him. And if you think that God is not in the miracle business anymore, you are wrong. He is just as strong and powerful as He was since the beginning of time.
How do I know this to be true? I know this because He has answered some prayers for me this week, even when I did not realize. For about a week I have been suffering with a sinus infection, it had gotten so bad that my ears were congested and in pain. I was irritable, grumpy, and snapping at everyone, I had not been focusing on God much and when I did talk to Him all I was doing was complaining about the pain. Then a few days ago I changed my way of thinking, God has the power to do that also, I began praying for others first and stopped focusing on the pain I was in. After I prayed for others I then asked God to heal me and to keep me positive and less irritable, praying in Jesus name. Since then my days are getting better, I am not grumpy, I am positive and uplifted. Although I am still in a little pain I am at peace knowing that my prayers are being answered simply because I put my focus on God and others instead of myself. God to Him, talk to Him and let Him know that You need Him and watch the blessings pour in.
12.10.07
"For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish." Matthew 18:11-14
Often people are related to sheep simply because we follow similar characteristics of the sheep in that when we do not have someone watching over us and directing us we will easily become distracted with what is in the world and go astray. Once one wanders off others will follow, often taking them into dangerous territory. Jesus came into this world in the flesh to be the guide that keeps us from falling astray and to find those who have gotten lost.
Every Thursday my church walks through the neighborhood looking for Jesus' lost sheep and each time we find one we rejoice and are more excited about that one being found. It is a great feeling knowing that the Lord does not rest until He finds all His lost sheep. How special are we knowing that Jesus loves us so much that He will stop at nothing to reach us.
It is sad when so many people refuse to accept Jesus, I truly believe that those who have such hatred for Him fear the most knowing that we speak the truth. All we can do is pray for them and hope that God will open their hearts to accept Him.
12.05.07
"He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. "- Matthew 19:18-22
It is not enough to follow the ten commandments to inherit the Kingdom of God, we must be willing to give up everything we have and follow Jesus. God knows our needs and desires and will always provide us with them one way or another, however possessions are worthless when you leave the earth as you can not take anything with you.
Jesus is not telling you that He does not want you to have things, but He does want you to be willing to give it all up for Him. Doing this does not mean that you will have nothing, what it means is that you will have much more than you ever imagined. Forget about yourself, help others, if you are having financial problems do not think of yourself, think of what you can do for someone less fortunate than yourself.
I urge you to try this, put God first above all your hardships, He just wants you acknowledge Him, put others second, this can be anything from spending time with someone who just needs to know that you care to using your last dollar to bless a little child. Above all, accept Jesus, He has given His life for you and just wants to know that you believe in Him and will follow Him. Do these things and see what happens, you will not only be blessed to receive the wonderful treasures waiting for you in heaven, you will also receive many treasures here on earth as well.
12.04.07
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." -John 16:33
Jesus knew when he walked the earth all too well that we all endure tribulation one time or another and many times during our time here. Here Jesus is letting us know that He has overcome all the tribulations he suffered with so you can be at peace. Jesus loved us so much that he gave His life for us, how many people in the world do you know that is willing to die so that you can be free?
When you are going through stuggles, do not worry, I know it is tough out there, I am going through struggles myself right now. You can rest assure that Jesus is right there with you and he is going to get you through whatever you are going through. Right now I should be worried and feeling hopeless, wondering what I need to do to get through my troubles, but I am cheerful and at peace because I know that Jesus us with me and carrying me to safety.
He can do that for you as well, just call on Him and let Him know that you need Him, he is right there waiting for you to acknowledge Him and watching over you. Just talk to Him.

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven."- Luke 10:19-20
Jesus instructed His disciples (followers) to go out into all the cities and knock doors two by two telling them about Jesus and showing them that He is the only way to enter heaven. He warned them that some will listen and accept this news while others will be hateful towards anything that they say to them. Jesus urged them to continue and not be afraid for He gave them the power to withstand any attack that unbelievers throw at them. He tells them to not be afraid, but to be happy because they will one day see heaven.
Just as Jesus instructed His disciples when He physically walked the earth to go out into all the cities and teach them about Him He instructs us to do so also. Any person that accepts Jesus and follows Him is to honor this request. He knows that we will face opposition, but He has given us power over all the enemy as well. He will never let anyone hurt us. Rejoice! Knowing that We are His children, our names are written in the book of life and we will one day meet Jesus face to face.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."- Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus is telling us here that He knows you have burdens, but you do not have to face them alone. Bring them to Him and He will give rest to your soul and take on the burdens with you. To take my yoke upon you means to come together with Jesus, He wants you to have faith in Him and become one with Him so that you can be at ease.
No matter what you are going through Jesus is right there with you twenty four hours a day. He loves you so much that He died for you so he is not going to let you fall without a net. Often we are faced with struggles in order to help us grow and increase our faith in God, when we are lost in the world of our struggles we tend to lose sight that God will take care of us. Keep your faith in Jesus, go to Him, talk to Him, tell Him how you are feeling and what you are going through. He already knows and just wants you to let him know that you love Him and need His help, He will get you through whatever you are going through. Remember God never gives us anything that we can not handle, He knows our strengths and that we are a lot stronger than we think we are.
You know we are all faced with struggles one time or another whether we choose to follow Jesus or not, but I for one get through those stuggles a lot better with Jesus than I ever did trying to deal with them on my own. Before I knew Jesus personally I was lost, depressed, and had no meaning in my life because my burdens took control and kept me captive. Jesus set me free and He can set you free, take your burdens to Him and watch a peace come before you that you have never experienced.
